<image:title>Us - Dr Alastair Gray</image:title>
<image:caption>Chartered Clinical Psychologist and Managing Partner With a career in the NHS, both as a Research Psychologist, and later as a Clinical Psychologist, Alastair has gained considerable experience in a number of different areas of psychological theory. After completing a degree in Psychology at the University of Leeds, Alastair worked in research with the Medical Research Council and later the NHS. Concerned with projects involving neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, and based at the internationally recognised Institute for Ageing and Health, and the Department of Psychology at the University of Newcastle, Alastair completed a PhD in the Neuropsychology of Dementia where his research investigated the different aspects of cognitive functioning in different forms of dementia. After completing his PhD in the NHS, Alastair progressed to completing a three year Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London, before starting work in London at the South London & Maudsley NHS Trust, working with the very diverse adult population of South London. Moving to North London and Camden and Islington NHS Trust brought Alastair further knowledge of the everyday stresses and strains that people experience in inner city areas where he worked with people who were concerned about their memory in the London Borough of Camden. Following his time in London, Alastair moved to East Anglia and worked for a number of years in three local NHS Trusts, most recently at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Trust as a Senior Clinical Psychologist and NHS Manager. He now works entirely in the private sector and specialises in both one-to-one therapy and working with therapy teams and Case Managers to ensure that patients reach their maximum potential following illness or injury. Alastair is registered with the HCPC and is a Registered Chartered Clinical Psychologist. He is also an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society.</image:caption>
